Description

Riverview is a well-cared-for spacious family home located right on the edge of the redwood-lined Russian River. The views are spectacular from most rooms and the deck. The living is easy and relaxed with nothing but nature's beauty at its very best.

Guests can spread out between four bedrooms (two at each end of the house), large living and dining room, kitchen with breakfast nook and recreation room downstairs. The living room immediately invites relaxation with amazing views through the wall-to-wall windows, flat screen smart TV, games and sliding doors to the deck. Just step through the doors from the kitchen to the deck to BBQ-ing while watching the river go by.

On the west side of the house, enjoy the master bedroom with a king bed, sitting area and view of the river; guest bedroom with a king bed overlooking the front courtyard; full bathroom with tub, separate shower stall and view of the river off the hallway. The east side of the house offers 2 newly remodeled guest bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with 2 twin beds; newly remodeled full bathroom with shower/bathtub combo; a full kitchen, breakfast nook, half bath and laundry room round out the eastern end of the house.

A large private dock is accessed from the terraced backyard. During the summer months, the river is dammed, allowing for swimming and paddling in calm waters. A 3-person canoe and a 1-person kayak, plus 2 kid's kayaks, with life vests, are available when summer dams are in (typically June 15th thru September 30th, or as determined by Russian River Parks and Recreation Department), weather and water levels permitting.

In addition to the large back deck and terraced yard facing the river, the front yard is fully fenced and serves as a shady courtyard patio. A large lemon tree shares fruit year round.

For star gazers, there’s a telescope and binoculars for bird and deer watching. A wood burning fireplace and central heat keep you cozy in the colder months.

The house is conveniently located a 15-minute walk (0.7 miles) to downtown Guerneville, which offers several selections of restaurants, bistros, bars, coffee shops, and Johnson’s Beach. Jump in the car – it’s just a 7-minute drive to the famous Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve to hike and picnic among the giant redwoods, 4 minutes to Korbel Winery and their yummy deli and 8 minutes to Porter-Bass Winery. Golfers, Northwood Golf Course is a 9 minute drive. So much, so close!

Know Before You Book:

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Riverview is 8 people not including kids 3 years old and younger. Quiet hours are from 9:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times.

A Note About Our Cleaning Fees: Thank you for supporting our local business! When you stay with us, you are supporting local families at work. We think everyone deserves a decent living wage, and we make sure to set the rates and fees so that our cleaners and employees earn a living wage in beautiful Sonoma County. The cleaning fee goes directly to the cleaners and inspectors for their hard work in making sure our guests have a wonderful and welcoming space to call home for their stay.

Parking: There is parking for a maximum of 4 vehicles: 2 in the garage and 2 in the driveway. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.

Security Cameras: For the safety of guests and the home, there is an exterior camera off the back deck, facing the river.

Heat: Central heating and woodstove. Firewood and kindling are not provided.

Rec/Game Room: The game room is an unheated, uninsulated space. Temperature varies throughout the year.

Partial A/C: The house has freestanding air conditioning unit in the upstairs kitchen area and multiple fans to carry the cool air throughout the house.

Perfect location, having the river right at the backyard was very fun and beautiful. The house is spacious and fit two families of 4 comfortably. Also, the house has everything needed for water activities especially kids kayaks and safety vests, even a canoe. The four kids aged from 5 to 9 loved this house: from kayaking to ping pong. relax for a guys' weekend

My buddies and I come to the Guerneville area once a year and stay at an Air BnB to do the Beer Passport Tour and relax for a guys' weekend. This place was so serene. Right on the Russian River, you need only step out onto the lengthy porch and there it is. Watching the fog burn off in the morning over the river with a cup of coffee is a great way to start the day. We took things slow this trip which allowed us to enjoy the home more than past trips. They had some simple, yet fun, games around so we would whip up some breakfast and then chill with some friendly competition before we headed out for the day. The bathrooms are very modernized and updated with a separate tub and shower which is nice. I’m a bigger guy and the shower stall is very spacious. It was great having a bed in each bedroom since we had 5 guys who have different sleep patterns Owner was very communicative making sure we knew when check-in would be available and that they were just a message away. An absolute gem with views indescribable that made you feel like you could and would want to stay longer. Had a great time celebrating a birthday indoors, cozy by the fire with friends and games. We love this home! We've stayed two years in a row. It's pretty hard to find a place in Guerneville that is both walking distance to town and on the river, so this is a real gem. The view is stunning and the house is just beautiful; we love the lay-out and the way everyone congregates in the living room. We loved our stay on the Russian River. The house was very spacious for 7 women, beds were comfortable and the deck was perfect. The house was clean, well stocked in the kitchen and lots of towels (beach & bath). The basement was full of floaties which was great since it was a very warm weekend. The kitchen is a bit small and dated but reminded us of a rustic cabin. Parking is limited but worked for us with 3 cars.-via Vrbo

This rental is one of the best on the river, works well for families but not elderly, lots of stairs to the dock , the beds are super comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to make ANY meal , big frig and freezer, lots of river toys and floats , we only dined out once in town at Dawn Ranch for our 5 day stay , I’ll be back as soon as I can , no need to go to Tahoe anymore-via Vrbo

This is just the most perfect home on the most beautiful setting. The peace and tranquility of the riverside is the ideal antidote to todays stresses and strains. Easy walk to Guerneville’s quaint shops and eateries and the optimum place to have a wine tour of some of Sonoma’s treasures. The home has everything you need, is spacious and comfortable for groups and the whole experience was easy and stress-free. We had a wonderful vacation at this house. The pier is nice and large, with lots of sun, but also two umbrellas for shade, and plenty of chairs. The swimming was great, nice and deep (although that might vary from year to year). The view of the river from the deck is spectacular, and it's also nice to be able to see the pier from the deck, which is not always the case with other houses on the river. The house itself is very nice and the kitchen is well stocked. Thank you for a very nice stay!

The house is amazing, so close to Guerneville (highly recommend the pee wee golf just over the bridge) and an incredible view of the river. Place was as advertised, definitely recommend. They don’t let you access the boats in April, which was a shame because so many boaters passed us on the river. Great birding from the porch!

Sometimes homeowners will put those items out earlier, but most wait for the summer dams to be in place due to safety concerns. We went on a couples trip with 2 other couples + and single (7 people total) and this was the perfect size for us. The 4th room has double twin beds so we could’ve added an 8th person. The view was great, so beautiful. The biggest “con” that doesn’t really go against the HOUSE but it’s worth mentioning is there are no ubers or lyfts in the area, and cabs need to be reserved in advance if you don’t rent a car, So plan ahead.-via Airbnb

The view was to die for! Great location, very comfortable house and a great vintage vibe. It made a fun home base while we explored Sonoma County. Recommend renting your own kayaks down the road & taking advantage of the Russian River. The house can be warm (no A/C) so definitely use the fans stored in the closets. Nice spot along the River. Great view and good size house. Beautiful and large section of the River. If you have a toddler it wasn’t the most toddler friendly house, better suited for older kids. The dock is quite high out of the water making it extra hard with little kids and pretty tricky with our dog. Overall really nice riverfront home.

This house offers a great view of the river hence the name. The location on the river and downtown Guerneville is super convenient. The private dock and available kayaks etc. made our stay so much fun. I wish the deck was cleaned (a lot spider webs and deck needed a hose down) given my stay was during the summer season. The kitchen floor and countertops were covered with ants during my entire stay. Customer service dropped off windex to spray on the countertops and ant traps to plant on the floor but they still managed to get into my food and tupperware.

The house was perfect for my us with four spacious and well appointed bedrooms, two baths plus a toilet room near the stairs to the basement (with games and tons of equipment for the river). The view and the deck is stunning. We loved the binder with information on the house and the area - very thorough and well put together by Russian River Homes. The river access is great, with a private dock, kayaks and a canoe. This home offers a good value. We will definitely be back!

This was the second year in a row of renting this home and we are already looking forward to renting it in 2023. My entire family (6 adults and 2 grandchildren) absolutely love vacationing here! This home has everything you need to enjoy summer on the river. The home is spotless and very well-equipped. Just bring your food, drinks and clothes and enjoy!!

What a wonderful weekend away at a beautiful location. The house was perfect for all we needed. Even in winter we could eat breakfast on the upper deck as it was bathed in sun. The kitchen was better kitted out than any other rental property we have been to, and was well set up for cooking. We will definitely be back in the summer to take full advantage of the private dock and boats.

We were able to disconnect from the daily news and enjoy our families' company in a beautiful picturesque setting. The view of the river in the rain was beautiful and later when the sun came out and a mist was formed. What a sight for sore eyes! There are four bedrooms and are separated buy two on one side of the house and two on the other side with your own bathrooms. Our 84-year-old grandma didn't think she could stay for four days but afterwards, she wanted to come back and stay for one month.! I would recommend bringing extra toilet paper and hand soap since we did run out of those two things by the end of the stay. We hope to make this an annual tradition!

Wow - great views of the river and what fun watching the fog burn off and the warm sun come shining through the windows. This was a great place for a large family with ample room to be together playing games or just visiting AND to get away from one another. Great adventures in the area and we loved getting to visit the great shops in Guerneville.via AirBnB

great house plenty of room. The patio overlooks the Russian River. Who was the Safeway about a mile from the house so we kept well supplied. Close to the wineries and a great Redwood forest for walking.

We had a great vacation at this home. The location is wonderful and the views excellent. We were fortunate to have great weather and were able to walk to town and enjoy dinner and drinks on the balcony.The home itself was very functional although the beds were not comfortable. The home was well stocked from a dishes and pots/pans perspective but lacking in basic supplies.Just a few changes will make this a five star property.

Lovely family house! My sisters and I brought our parents to Riverview following my father's heart surgery at UCDavis. Once he made his way up the stairs, his stay was the perfect way to begin his recovery. The house had everything we needed. The location was perfect, view was beautiful, fireplace was cozy, and the deck was a wonderful spot to relax and have nice meal. Six of us were up for the weekend, and the house's layout gave everyone plenty of their own space. I highly recommend this home, and the page in the welcome book that described how the owners came to acquire the house was a very touching addition.

This house is awesome! We booked the house as a first family vacation with a little one. The location is great. The house is right on the river. You can jump off the dock right into the river. The house has everything you need to enjoy the river like life vests and other water toys. It looked there were kayaks as well but we did not use them this time. The deck is large and perfect for relaxing after a day on the river or after exploring the area. The views from the deck are amazing and there's a nice bbq you can use. It's close to town and just a few minutes drive to local restaurants and bars. The house is also a short drive to Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve, which has some nice hikes. There is satellite TV and internet. The owners provided instructions on how to connect that were clear and easy to follow. This place is a gem! We look forward to coming back again with more family as there is plenty of space and it's a nice getaway from the city.

I booked this house for a get together with my old high school friends. We just wanted a comfortable relaxing place to hang out and catch up. It was perfect! It was very clean and very comfortable. It had all the necessities. The location was great - we enjoyed using the boat and swimming from the dock. We loved sitting on the dock in the late afternoon and the upper deck in the morning - the view is amazing and beautiful. All the instructions were well-detailed. We really loved our weekend stay here and would love to come back. Imported from VRBO.

This house exceeded my expectations. It was very comfortable and well stocked. It Is right on the river so the views are beautiful any time of day. It is a quick walk to town with access to the supermarket, restaurants, and fun stores. Don't miss driving to Duncan Mills for fresh ground coffee and baked goods, Goat Rock and Blind beaches south of Jenner and Armstrong Redwoods. We were able to bring our dog. They have a dock and you can swim easily to the beach on the other side of the river. There are water floats, beach towels, and a ping pong table. We didn't need to use the fireplace because the weather was perfect. A group of us (3 couples) had a blast at this great place. We enjoyed leisurely cups of coffee on the deck each morning, watching the most beautiful scenes of nature (and hot kayakers). The six of us wanted a place with easy access to downtown Guerneville, and this place proved perfect.
