TreeTops Bungalow - nestled in the liberal beauty of the Russian River Valley, this a stylish and secluded two-bedroom vacation rental offers the perfect blend of comfort and nature. With a fully equipped kitchen and laptop-ready workspace, you’ll feel at home while enjoying the conveniences of modern living. The relaxed living area opens onto an extensive deck where you can take in stunning forest views, immersing yourself in the peaceful surroundings. The two well-appointed bedrooms provide restful retreats after a day of exploring, each offering comfort and privacy for you and your guests.

Step outside and relax in the private hot tub, where you can unwind under the towering redwoods and starry skies. The expansive deck, perfect for morning coffee or evening meals, offers an ideal setting to enjoy the outdoors. Whether you’re soaking up the restorative forest views or lounging in the hot tub, this Guerneville getaway provides the ultimate retreat into nature, making it an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation and adventure just minutes from downtown.

Know Before You Book:

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at TreeTops Bungalow is 4 people not including kids under 3 years old. Quiet hours are from 9:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times.

A Note About Our Cleaning Fees: Thank you for supporting our local business! When you stay with us, you are supporting local families at work. We think everyone deserves a decent living wage, and we make sure to set the rates and fees so that our cleaners earn a living wage in beautiful Sonoma County.

Parking: There is parking for a maximum of 2 vehicles. RVs, trailers, and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance. The parking area and driveway are gravel.

Bed Sizes: Bedroom 1: Queen bed; Bedroom 2: Queen bed.

Heating: Central heating and a woodstove in the living room. While there may be firewood/kindling at the property, it is not promised. We recommend bringing your own or checking at the property before purchasing wood.

Cooling: Life under the redwoods is naturally cooler than other areas. While TreeTops Bungalow does not have A/C, there is a combination of ceiling fans and free-standing fans to help keep the house cool.

Bathrooms: The bathroom is located off the hallway and has a shower (only).

Location: TreeTops Bungalow is in a cozy residential neighborhood. It is a mix of permanent residents and vacation rentals, families, working folks, and visitors. To honor this balance, we ask guests to park in the designated spots and respect the quiet hours in addition to general family-friendly, residential neighborhood expectations. Sound carries so we ask guests to be aware of noise – especially once quiet time starts at 9 pm. Thank you for helping to continue the tradition of a mutually beneficial relationship between vacation rentals and local community!

Road to TreeTops Bungalow: The house is located up a narrow one-lane road. It is a two-way, one-lane curvy hillside road - fully paved and no special vehicle is required. We provide detailed written driving directions to confirmed guests. The shared driveway to the house and parking area are gravel.

Stairs: While the living areas in the house are all one level, there are approx. 6 steps from the parking area to the front door and a flight of stairs to the basement/laundry room below the house. There are several steps at the hot tub area and a flight of stairs from the back deck to the parking area.

Pet Friendly: This home welcomes 2 well-mannered dogs. If you have more than 2 dogs or other types of pets, please contact us to see if exceptions can be made before reserving.

Fencing: The back deck and yard are fully fenced, but we always recommend checking the fence line before letting your dog off-leash.

Security: For the safety of guests and the home, there are 2 security cameras outside - facing the parking and entry of the property.

A Note About TVs: The Smart TV has Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, and hundreds of streaming channels. Guests are welcome to bring their login info for these apps. The television does not have cable services.

Proximity to wineries: The closest tasting room/wine bar is in downtown Guerneville and there are dozens more withing 10 miles.

Nearest River Beach: A neighborhood beach is 1.9 miles from the house or Johnson’s Beach with concessions and boat rentals during the summer is 2.6 miles from the house.

Nearest Ocean Beach: The coastal beaches in Jenner are 15 miles.

- This how was so cute and I loved the remoteness of the location. It felt like our own little private oasis. The space was absolutely spotless. I usually feel very uncomfortable anywhere other than my own home because it doesn’t feel clean but this place was the exception. It was so peaceful here. The only two things I wish I would have realized before we went were: there was zero cell service at the location but the WiFi was great. And it was 100+ degrees out so almost 90 in the home. There were lots of fans which helped and opening the house up in the early mornings, late evenings but I wasn’t quite prepared for how hot it would be. Just keep that in mind when planning! Every day, our stresses ebbed and retreated in this forest retreat. Large TV provided evening entertainment. Well supplied kitchen, efficient outdoor grill and very modern bathroom. Hot tub warm and comfy. Entire house was immaculately clean upon our arrival. This cabin was wonderful! Very clean, well equipped, secluded. We came with another couple & we all truly enjoyed our stay. One in our group had a business conference in San Francisco & we wanted to escape the business of the city & unwind. The hot tub was perfect! We loved being in the woods. I'd love to come back in warmer weather & enjoy the wonderful deck! Safeway grocery store is close, Armstrong Redwoods State Nature Reserve is also close & we enjoyed hours of hiking there. Thank you for opening this great cabin for us to enjoy! (Review un-edited from prior management.)

This is like being a nature and in the woods but with all the amenities. I got this just to sit in the hot tub surrounded by trees and it was exactly what I expected. And more. Very private although hard to find quite a ways down a very small road. Needto replace mattresses and pillows. Also reccomended ceiling fans in bedrooms as no AC in home. Otherwise truly enjoyed. (Review un-edited from prior management.)

Manager's Response

While this review was made while the house was under prior management, we feel it's only fair to share accurate reviews. The road is well-described in the listing and we provide very detailed instructions for how to get there - Google maps has is *mostly* right, but others don't. It is a narrow road - 1 lane for two way travel and it should be taken slowly to avoid oncoming vehicles and wildlife. The mattresses are on the firm side and this is very much a personal preference. Pillows are in good condition - we checked! And there are freestanding fans for bedrooms when a heat wave hits. Windows also have screens and the owner is looking into mini-split HVAC for next summer.
