Guerneville is the hub of the Russian River Resort Area.
Guerneville has plenty to offer with towering redwood forests, Russian River beaches, a lively downtown and close proximity to Sonoma County wineries and the Sonoma Coast. Guerneville is just 70 miles north of San Francisco, making it a popular destination for Bay Area residents and an excellent side trip for those visiting the San Francisco Bay Area.
The entrance to Armstrong Woods State Park is two miles from downtown. There are a number of river beaches, including Johnson’s Beach, which, during the summer months, has a snack bar, boat rentals and lifeguards on duty. Fun Guerneville activities include playing mini golf, taking a Segway tour, renting bikes, and visiting the shops, restaurants, and bars on Main St.
Guerneville is 13 east miles of Jenner and Goat Rock State Beach, 6 miles west of the Westside Road Wine Road and 17 miles west of Hwy 101 and the city of Santa Rosa.
