Austin Creekside Retreat sits on a two-acre forest of towering redwood trees at the end of a ¼ mile private gated road. The property includes 1,000 feet of creek frontage on lazy Austin Creek. The home's architecture is reminiscent of a Japanese country house, with all natural fir and pine finishes. Totaling 1450 square feet with a ceiling that soars to 16 feet, the house contains authentic antiques of pine and oak.

The deck that wraps two sides of the house is expansive. Inside, there are two bedrooms, with queen and full beds respectively, and a loft with two twin beds. There is one bathroom plus an outside shower. This is truly the place to escape--while there are 2 TV's with DVD and VCR, there is no cable or internet. Other amenities include gas barbecue, wood burning fireplace, and CD player. The site also has a rustic cabin, remaining from the old Girl Scout Camp, where the rubber rafts are now stored. Children and well-behaved dogs are very welcome here.

Austin Creekside Retreat is just two miles to the Russian River, five miles to the Monte Rio Beach, three miles to Duncans Mills with restaurants and galleries, and five miles to the Sonoma Coast.
