The River Chelsea was acquired from its original
owners in November 1999 and has been restored to
combine the charm of its architectural origins with
all the modern conveniences you could want. The
upper level of the house, featuring a large dining-room,
living room, with fire place, a superbly equipped
kitchen and two bedrooms, provides for a welcoming
setting. This level accommodates up to six adults.
Arranged at a lower level, additional rooms (sleeping
up to four people) combine rustic charm with modern
comfort, with its own living room, kitchenette and
breakfast nook.
Connecting the two levels, the restored
old stair-welled deck has been expanded into an
extensive three level deck that, bridging the Glandy
Glen creek, provides a wonderful view of the gardens.
A large sunken hot tub is encased over a pergola
setting, which is a sight to behold and provides
enjoyment for one and all.
Across Drake Road, on one of the reputed
‘highest-ground’ of the river, a private
stairway gives you exclusive direct access to the
Russian River and allows for private access and/or
romantic picnics.
Large families and groups of friends
alike will find the River Chelsea a magical place,
providing an opportunity for friends and family
to have a good time together, as well as respecting
their independence and “space”.
