The Sitala Mountain House rests on 20-forested acres, atop a mountain, at the edge of the Sonoma County Wine Country. This private and secluded property is located at the end of a ½ mile long, steep, dirt driveway in the hills of Cazadero (general store, wonderful bakery, performing arts camp). This property offers a spacious two level home with three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a private above ground pool set into a large deck with locked waist-high gate, wrap-around porch with hottub, and pergola with hammocks.

This home is a retreat within itself, sunbathe on the pool deck, hike on the fire roads in the mountains, enjoy a BBQ on the gas grill or formally dine in the separate dining room. The home's downstairs features Mexican tile floors throughout and three sets of glass French doors leading out to the wrap around deck. The open living room, kitchen, separate dining room, full bathroom and laundry room are all located downstairs. While upstairs offers a master bedroom with a king bed and a wood burning stove, a second bedroom with a double bed, two full bathrooms and a den with television (no cable), a VCR with movies and a queen futon that can be folded out on the floors.

Sitala Mountain House is located only 1 mile to Austin Creek; 8 miles to Russian River; 15 miles to Pacific Ocean. 50 miles to Napa Valley; 85 miles to San Francisco. Cazadero is on the western edge of Sonoma County wine country. There is great hiking beginning at our front door and we are are minutes from the Russian River resort areas and the Pacific Coast (at Jenner, Bodega Bay, etc.), canoeing, kayaking, wineries, golf, giant redwoods, an 18th century Russian fort and world class restaurants.
