A charming waterfront home nestled among
redwoods and overlooking the Russian River, La Rive
Gauche offers an ideal combination of country charm

from the living room open onto a sunny deck overlooking
the river. The deck features a four-person hot tub,
redwood furniture and a charcoal BBQ. A flight of
stairs leads to the seasonal vegetable garden and
fenced yard with outdoor furniture. From the yard,
forty steps lead down the riverbank to a seasonal
deepwater dock (mid June -mid Sept. only).
With four bedrooms and three baths, this home comfortably
sleeps eight. Three bedrooms and one full bath are
located on the main living floor (king and two sets
of twins). On the second floor is a master suite (queen)
and full bath with lovely river view. Downstairs with
separate garden entrance is a game room and full bath.
The large well-equipped kitchen has a new refrigerator
with icemaker, garbage disposal, electric oven, gas
cooktop, plenty of counter space and a laundry room
with washer and dryer. Local phone service, WiFi,
cable TV, DVD, VCR, stereo/cd player, an air hockey
table and plenty of board games are provided.
La Rive Gauche is centrally located in Monte Rio.
Within walking distance are many local attractions
including Monte Rio Public Beach, the Rio Theater,
an art gallery, restaurants, bars and shops. Jenner
by the Sea, Northwood Golf Course, Armstrong Woods
and many Russian River wineries are just a short drive
away. Rent a canoe or kayak at the beach, go fishing
on the river, feed the ducks from the dock, watch
for river otters and turtles, look for ospreys and
herons, pick some blackberries for breakfast, vegetables
for dinner or apples for a pie.
Well-behaved dogs and owners are welcome provided
that owners pick up after their pets.
